A guild, in the
old sense.
Writing is solitary; becoming a writer shouldn't be. The Academy community is built like a guild — working writers at every rank, sharing standards, trading craft, and holding the door for the next class.
Critique Circles
Small, moderated, and matched by genre and rank. Honest pages, honest notes, lasting trust.
Writing Sprints
Moderated sessions on a schedule. A timer, a room full of colleagues, and the words that follow.
Instructor Forums
Ask the faculty directly. Instructors are paid to be present, and threads stay searchable.
Rank Halls
Spaces for each rank's particular work — Apprentice questions, Journeyman drafts, Professional launches.
Vendor Perks
Negotiated codes and discounts from the Academy's industry partners — the software and services working authors already buy.
The Resource Library
Outlines, templates, checklists and working documents from the instructors' own desks. Free to every student.
Warm rooms,
high bars.
Our community keeps two promises at once: you will be treated with generosity, and your work will be taken seriously. Critique here is rigorous because we respect you — and kind because we intend to keep you.
Student voices will appear here once the founding class is in session.
Doors open April 2027.
The founding Spring Term admits by application from the waitlist. Join it and you will hear from the Dean directly when the window opens.
